Survey Chris Income Report – October 2014

income-report-screenshotEvery month I publish my survey income reports which document how much I make from taking surveys and recommending others to survey sites on my blog.

These income reports are here to show you where exactly I am making the most money, and with which survey sites.

Also in these monthly income reports will include updates to the website for the last month, which survey sites I liked the best in the past month, along with what you can expect to see on Survey Chris in the coming month.

I hope that these monthly reports will inspire you to see how much you can add onto your monthly income by utilizing online survey sites, and see where you should be directing your time and energy when it comes to taking surveys.

What Was New in October

September is the fifth month that Survey Chris has been up and running. Here is what was new for the site this month:

Best Survey Companies Right Now

For each month, I like to include my favorite survey sites. They may not correlate with which ones I made the most money with, since I like to measure things by money made per time spent on site.

Since I estimate the time spent on the site, this isn't a number I readily share with you, but these rankings are based on it.

If you want to make the most money with surveys, you will want to sign up for multiple companies so you never run out of surveys to take.

The top ones I recommend from this month are:

  1. CashCrate

  2. Opinion Outpost

  3. Swagbucks

My October Income Breakdown

So here is the part you came here for, to see exactly how much I am making with each company. For the month of September, here is how I did:

This all combines for a monthly total of $450.27

For September, I made $283.77

I made $166.50 more in October than in September. This is great, and I expect this income to continue growing from here on out since I have a good established foundation of survey sites to work off of, along with experimenting with new sites.

About My Survey Income Breakdown

Each month I take surveys from a variety of different companies and try them out long enough to get paid. During this process I am reviewing these companies to determine who is worth recommending to you and which companies you should avoid. This income is reflected above each month.

That's why in my reviews of companies like Cash CrateOpinion Outpost and Ipsos i-Say I show you actual screenshots of my earnings, checks etc so that you can see I really am trying out these companies.

Unlike most other survey websites out there that just write content to get referrals I spend the time actually trying these companies to determine which ones are the best for you.

Another chunk of income that I make from this website (which I expect to continue to grow) comes from referring other people to survey companies that I recommend on this blog. I hope you see the value in having someone else test out these survey companies first and I appreciate the support when you sign up for the survey companies I recommend.

  1. $450 a month just for taking surveys is pretty good. Chris, I’m assuming there’s the potential to make more than that if you were to invest more time in this? Obviously you have much more lucrative endeavors for making money online, I’m just wondering if it’s possible to make more than this if you were to dedicate more time to it?

    Thanks.

    1. Hey Brandon,

For the most part, yes you can make more. Availability of surveys change based on demographics, but there are also paid offers, product testing and other ways to make money like this. There are enough sites out there (I’m trying to get more reviews up) that you can pretty much fill as much time as you’d like with taking surveys. I always recommend signing up for multiple sites so you can always have surveys available to do.

  2. Hey there Chris,

Making $450 for taking surveys sounds easy enough that anyone can do it, but I imagine how tedious and time consuming it must be — or is it? Also do these surveys require you to purchase something as well to make money back? I know Ebates give you cash back when you purchase something from their site, but that to me, defeats the purpose of actually making decent income.

    Keep inspiring,
    Warren

    1. Hey Warren,

Yes it is pretty tedious when taking a lot of surveys, but it doesn’t take much effort, so it is something you can do while watching tv, listening to podcats or music, or doing other things.

Some of the things require you buy stuff, such as “paid offers”. If done properly though, those can be the biggest money making opportunities, such as trying a trial of something for $3 and getting paid $7 later on.

Other sites, like Ebates are portals to do online shopping through. I just use those as an option if I want to buy something already online, I’ll check those kind of sites to see if I can some money back for doing something I would already be doing.

      Thanks,

      Chris

  3. Can I ask how much time you spend doing this a day? Seems like a legitimate source of income, but I’m wondering how much time you put in to get those numbers. Can you give a rough estimate?
    Thanks, Rachel
